ILHR Grants

As a state-funded nonprofit, the Heart Rescue Project aims to improve how out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) is recognized, treated, andmeasured in the State of Illinois. With a state population of over 12 million, Illinois Heart Rescue (ILHR) strives to make a significant public health impact in our nation by creating a model for cardiac arrest outcomes in both rural and large urban centers.

EMS Action Grant

Provides free CPR training materials to EMS agencies within the State of Illinois to develop well-coordinated, high-performance resuscitative practices

    • Laerdal Resusci Anne QCPR manikin(s) with metric feedback and training app

    • Any public or private EMS agency that is concerned and wants to address the cardiac arrest burden within their community.

    • Higher priority will be given to EMS agencies that work in historically underserved communities and communities with an above average cardiovascular risk burden.

EMS AED Grant

Provides a free automated external defibrillator (AED) to emergency medical service (EMS) agencies to be placed anywhere in your community

    • Zoll AED Plus with PlusRx Medical Prescription

    • Adult CPR-D Electrode, 1 ten-pack of Type 123 Lithium-Ion batteries and a soft carry case.

    • Pedi-Pad II. Pediatric electrodes are designed to be used with Zoll AED Plus. The AED Plus recognizes the pads and automatically adjusts energy levels to a pediatric protocol.

    • Any public or private EMS agency that is concerned and wants to address the cardiac arrest burden within their community.

    • Higher priority will be given to EMS agencies that work in historically underserved communities and communities with an above average cardiovascular risk burden.

    Illinois Heart Rescue has a limited amount of Worldpoint CPR Taylor manikins to also provide for FREE. Higher consideration will be given to organizations that also utilize the CPR manikins during BCPR and AED training.

Community AED Grant

Provides a free automated external defibrillator (AED) to organizations or schools within the State of Illinois in the event of a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA)

    • Zoll AED Plus with PlusRx Medical Prescription

    • Adult CPR-D Electrode, 1 ten-pack of Type 123 Lithium-Ion batteries and a soft carry case.

    • Pedi-Pad II. Pediatric electrodes are designed to be used with Zoll AED Plus. The AED Plus recognizes the pads and automatically adjusts energy levels to a pediatric protocol.

    • Any public or private community-based organization that is concerned and wants to address the cardiac arrest burden within their community.

    • Higher priority will be given to 501(c)(3) organizations who focus efforts on historically underserved communities.
